The Academic and Scientific Advisory Council brings together leading international and African scientists to provide insights, advice and guidance on:

  • The relevance of AIMS’ academic and research program and subject areas, bearing the local environment and Africa’s development priorities in mind;
  • Governance of academic and scientific matters with the goal of AIMS developing into a world class institution in Africa;
  • Achieving the goal of empowering and developing a cohort and network of mathematical scientists who are committed to shaping the future of Africa.

The Academic and Scientific Advisory Council provides this support to the International Board of Directors and the AIMS-NEI Secretariat.
