Executive Vice President

Dr Dorothy Nyambi is the executive vice president of AIMS. She works in partnership with colleagues to provide technical support and capacity development for organizations and funders, focusing on education and livelihood programs, monitoring and evaluation and program design.

Prior to joining AIMS in December 2013, Dorothy served as executive director for a global consulting firm based in Canada. She worked as an international development practitioner and a certified evaluator for more than 20 years. Dorothy has developed and managed major projects for government donors and foundations, and worked for the government of Cameroon, the U.S. Peace Corps, USAID, CARE and Population Services International. She is currently a member of the Canadian, American and African evaluation societies. She also volunteers with UNICEF Canada and sits on the board of two Canadian not-for-profit organizations.

Dorothy earned a post-graduate degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and a Bachelor’s Degree in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin.
